The dishwasher is full again, the whir of washing soaks my brain,
The cat has brought in headless mouse, a whirlwind has destroyed the house,
The floor is thick with muddied dog,I stare around my eyes agog,
I'm not sure where to really start,I grab a mop with heavy heart,
The dog gives me saddened wag, drops at my feet a filthy rag,
I hold his toy before my eyes, feel my blood begin to rise,
My best blouse is now shabby chic, adorned with hair and saliva sleek,
I pick my way through chaos true, remove myself from hellish view,
I settle down with coffee mug,sit with Yucca freshly dug,
My dog shakes earth with relish glee, I close my eyes, Oh! Lucky me!
