A big stumbling block for those who wish to turn their lives around is the notion that it is all too late. This causes you to stay in a finite time-line and leads you to think that "yes I would love to change my life but I should have done it sooner" or "it's too late now to change". The truth is that if you really wanted to change your life then the idea of it all being too late would not come into the equation. That way of thinking is just the last attempts of our sabotaging self to prevent us from progressing.
To see this thought process in this light removes a certain amount of power from it. You see that the idea of time running out is not true in itself. It is the thought about time running out that causes the damage. How could time run out? Where would it go? If it did run out then wouldn't that mean that you are eternal?"
Time really is a very personal perspective and as I look back on the immense struggles that I have experienced I can see that they actually took but a moment and that there is now a infinite span open in front of me for exploration and creativity. It is funny that the idea of time running out only occurs when we look back into the past. When you truly look deep into the present then the idea of time itself seems, and is, completely irrelevant. How timeless those moments of relaxation and peace seem when compared to the endless dragging of a day of mundane work or non-productivity and clock watching. We can see then that time only effects us as we look back or look forward by wishing that this moment would be over.
Now, from a purely physical point of view there are so many stories of people starting their lives over later on in life. "Life begins at 40" now seems to extend to 50,55,60 and so on. In other words from a purely human point of view there is ample time and opportunity for our lives to be changed for the good and new projects and lifestyle to be embraced. I never thought that I would be starting a writing career at 43. However, when I made that step it was as if I was born again. It was like starting a business at an earlier age but with so much more life experience and insight.
Timing is always perfect. The divine orchestration of the universe really does put the pieces of the puzzle together in a way that shows the natural course and flow of the cosmos. We are not mere spectators though. All of this is for our benefit and we can hook into this natural flow whenever we wish, for it is part of who we are. "Time running out" is then just the final objection to our own happiness and only has the exact amount of power that we give it. Nothing more, but again, nothing less.
So embrace the moment and take charge of your destiny through the realisation of your eternal nature. Time and space have absolutely no power over you. You are now, have always been and always will be free. Enjoy!
