Developing inner strength

Inner strength is often thought to be our personal power points, what makes us who we are and what we are. This is a fallacy that extends throughout our lives. We live and try to be what our parents think we should be, what our peers wish us to be and what those we respect demand us to be. None of which are who we are.

In asking ourselves truthfully who we are we gain our own inner strength. Inner strength comes from love and acceptance. Love is not an emotion but a state of being. It encompasses everything we touch and is everywhere around us for it is us. Inner strength comes from knowing you are not harming anything and leading a life of love. Separation and segregation which is a common place in today's society only deplete our inner strength as it works against our very being. You see it today as clubs form, peer groups form, leaving out others that may wish to be part of our world. You will find that not many dinner tables set up for company have doctors, a plumber and a painter. It will be just all doctors.

To build our inner strength we must face our fears in life, we must be true to our hearts, and above all we must learn acceptance. This means acceptance of everything including our self. How one may ask, the answer is in a Beatles song and it was called "Let it Be." The only one you need to worry about is yourself, no one else can take from you or add to you for you are already strong enough to do whatever it is you wish. The limits to this is our own imagination which is usually stopped by the thought " What will others think" My answer is who cares. The most important person in the world to you should be you and if it doesn't feel right to you then it probably is not. Our inner strength comes from a combination of knowing and intuition and wisdom. Our heart gives us intuition and logic tells us what can be done the only thing we could be missing is wisdom. Research often will handle that. In being true to our self we develop our own inner strength, as we have developed it our self by truth, we gain faith. There is a reason behind the statement " Faith can move mountains."

Many religions around the world say you must have faith in God. I concur with this statement, however over and above God you must have faith in yourself. When we live life today in this second we have no worries, no problems, no anxieties as there is but this second. In this we see beauty, love and innocence like we have just been born and we are free to be our true self. In knowing our true self our inner strength becomes us. We find humbleness and love. This is not to be taken as weak in character, as humbleness and love bring forth compassion and only in compassion can there every be no judgment. It is judgment that leads to separation and segregation. This is the way to develop our own inner strength. This is what Jesus had, Buddha had and many great beings of our past have had.
