Poetry: Weekends

by Adam Smith

Created on: June 24, 2009

Weekends

The best time of the week

A welcome reprieve

When the endless week creeps

How great would it be

To have a weekend every day

A time to be together

A time to spend with each other

A time to love one another

But time is not on my side

Beacuse Monday comes in an hour

And I can't go to sleep

So on top of having the "Mondays"

I will be rude, obnoxious and a creep
