Her rivers are blue but I can't swim
her waters call me
beckon me in
like a wave that ripples beneath my skin
restrained by choice
restricted by conviction
her earth is green and nurtures life
with fruit so sweet

I've often wept within her shade

her skys are wide and full of breath
with winds that cool and calm my depths
she is the moon as it should be
reflecting light for me to see
and I, the sun, in blinding glow
am losing myself in melting snow.
