The perfect score for bull riding that comes from two judges is 100 in eight seconds time. Each judge scores the bull and the bull rider. The bull can be scored by each judge from 1 to 25, as the same applies to the bull rider. If the bull receives a perfect 50 and the rider scores a 50 then the bull ride reaches the perfect score of 100.
Areas of Consideration:
Bull riding consists of coordination, balance, flexibility as the rider faces down a two-thousand pound bull that takes them on for the ride of their life. The PBR (Professional Bull Riders) tour offers the most in bull riding, as this large animal can be seen in it's meanest temper trying to throw a rider off of his back. This is the very reason why it is seldom seen that a bull rider receives a perfect score.
When a bull rider receives a score in the 90 range, they still remain tough on their game since the 90 range is an excellent score. However, there have been some bull riders that hardly reached a third of a perfect score due to an unruly bull or a weak hold.
Bull scores surround how the bull behaves in direction of the bull rider. In other words, how the bull rider guides the bull is important by the techniques they know by way of kick and balance. The spur makes a bull jump in kick action and the more direction the bull rider offers the bull actually conducts the bull's next move. The bull rider may be the driver of this ride, as the judges watch for this combination.
Here's a breakdown of scoring:
0 - 25 score in total means that this bull rider needs to work on either his performance or how the bull rider handles and directs the bull's behavior.
25 - 50 score in total means that the bull rider shows potential that they can guide a bull and hang on. However, a little more work is needed to be able to lift the digits to a more successful result.
50 - 75 score in total is a good score, but still shares the idea of perfecting the bull ride.
75 - 80 score is much better indeed, as most have agreed that this bull rider is smart as a whip, if they could only stay on for the entire duration of eight seconds. Most that reach this score do wonders with a bull yet have fallen off in a split seconds before the count of eight. Another reason for this score, if the person remains on closer to eight seconds, is that they may not have mastered the bull in full when it comes to performance.
80 - 90 score is a great score to be proud of since this is in the high-range of policy score resulting
