A look at the equipment needed for bull riding

Bull riding equipment takes more than just a rope, some spurs and a bull. Here is a look at the equipment needed for bull riding.

Bull Riding Vest - - A protective bull riding vest can help a rider from getting their torso punctured or suffer from any blows during bull riding. Like a mini-shock absorber, these vests are specifically created to help a rider bounce back from possible blows. A bull rider's vest is not your average vest, it is a combination of thick, durable and breathable wear for any bull rider's safety.

Bull Rope - - Bull rope should wrap around the bull's girth behind his front legs. This flat rope should be braided from nylon or grass and accompanied by a handle for gripping. Bull riders either wrap this rope around their pinky or index finger or use a suicide grip resulting in a more difficult release of the bull rope. Brazilian bull rope is the most popular to use since it is thicker and more versatile to use when measured in balance.

Bull Riding Glove - -The bull riding glove should only be worn by the hand that grips the bull rope. A bull rider would tape the glove onto their hand since a bull can take them for a shaky ride resulting in the removal of the glove. Leather is best as it works as the best grip for the rope they hold.

High-Quality Athletic Tape - - This tape is the appropriate tape to use when one tapes their glove down to remain on during a bull riding moment.

Rosin - - Rosin offers that extra adhesive from glove to rope to continue contact between glove and rope. With the Athletic tape and Rosin, a bull rider has covered their corners when it comes to holding on.

Cowboy Boots - - Cowboy boots are important with spur capability. These boots help the spurs remain in place while riding a bull. Cowboy boots are sold in two forms, with or without lace ups. Some bull riders prefer lacing up since they can regulate the tightness of the boot.

Rodeo Hat or Helmet - - The head is a very important part of the human body since it protects the brain by way of skull along with the jaw, the mouth, the eyes, the nose and the ears. A cowboy hat can be used as protective wear during a bull riding event, as a bull riding helmet is for those which have either had previous injury or those which seek more protective gear for the face and head area. A rodeo hat or helmet is a must during any bull riding moment. A bull is unpredictable with it's hooves and having a protective cowboy hat or helmet helps one from getting the
