James Pinnock is a football striker that has throughout the years played for a number of different clubs in and around the area of Kent. Pinnock began his career with Gillingham FC, and currently plays for Maidstone United in the Ryman Premier League.
Pinnock has done well throughout the years as a footballer, playing mainly in the non-league of English football. Pinnock did make eight appearances in the Football League for Gillingham between 1996 and 2001, since then he has moved into the non-league though, and this is where he has achieved fantastic success as a forward.
Through a number of loan spells whilst playing for Gillingham, Pinnock was able to show himself to be a top quality striker, and established himself to be a top player in non-league football. Pinnock officially joined Kingstonian after leaving Gillingham, and was here really able to prove himself as a player. Two years he spent with the club before moving on again, and his next destination was then to be Gravesend & Northfleet (now known as Ebbsfleet United).
Continuing to impress as a player, Pinnock still showed great flair in front of goal, and earned quite a reputation for himself in the two years that he spent with Gravesend. After two years it was time to move on again though, joining Welling United for a season before then rejoining Margate (a club for which he played on loan whilst with Gillingham).
Pinnock had a great two seasons with Margate, and in his second season scored 27 goals for the club. He really did impress for Margate, and I'm sure that the fans were sad to see him go when he left at the end of the 2007/08 season; he's a much praised striker, and in summer 2008 Maidstone United was able to capture the powerful player. Pinnock became Maidstone's top scorer in the 2008/09 season with 12 goals, proving that it was a very smooth move to sign him, and showing that he really is a man that you want in your team.
James Pinnock is now 30 years-old, and is a hugely experienced player in non-league football. He has been through many clubs throughout the years, learnt much in his travels, and become a better player as a result. He knows where the goal is, is never afraid to shoot, and therefore achieves much success as a result. Pinnock is a fantastic footballer in non-league football, and one of the very best football strikers that the Ryman Premier League has to offer.
