Poetry: Living fully

by Mandy Dalton

Created on: June 24, 2009

Each night you lay upon your bed
Don't fret about your past
For one can never truly know
Which night will be their last
TO LIVE

Be grateful for each drawn breath
And all that you have learned
Each day that you have yet to come
Leave nothing left unturned

Don't shy away from all that's new
Because you feel some fear
For if you never take the risk
You might miss something dear

Enjoy the laughter of your kids
The time spent with a friend
Hold the one you love so close
Before your time has end

Surround yourself with happiness
Take less than you can give
There's no regrets if only you
Allow yourself to live
