interested in when you can spend the time researching jobs you really would be suitable for and then spending quality time making an impression on just THOSE applications. Some people might feel they're so desperate for work that they will apply to just everything they can think of, except it really is far more demoralizing to get rejected for dozens jobs which are not within your realm of capabilities rather just a few.
Don't be scared to blow your own trumpet. Your resume is the one time where it's totally acceptable to boast about your accomplishments. Don't think people will laugh or think you're a big-head to say you finished first in your year in a particular subject at school or college. Don't be afraid to say you were captain of the cricket team or received a special award for being employee of the month or year it will show a potential employer that you are willing to go that bit extra for your organization and/or received recognition for your skills and enthusiasm. Believe it or not, this does count for a lot.
Don't believe it when people say everyone lies on their resume you can and will get caught out if you tell outright lies on your resume. Don't say you got a first class honors degree when you barely got through the course with a pass. Don't say you got an average of 95% when you averaged 65% - it will all come out and you'll only end up looking foolish later on and could even lost your job over it if those lies helped you get the role, although often enough people are caught out at interview stage when they lie about their academic achievements. An experienced interviewer can usually tell from your answers to certain questions if you were an A student or barely scraped by with C grades.
Hopefully the above has given you some ideas as to what not to do or rethink some things within your resume. Either way, I hope it helps you make some changes to your benefit.
