Movie reviews: Eight

have been played by someone more famous (or even with a better degree of acting skills) but to be honest I can imagine any good actor worth his salt probably turned the role down flat when they read the script so I guess they had to go with an unknown. I've never seen Raj Tara in a movie before and when I do a Google search for him, it seems Ei8ht was his first and last film. I am not surprised. I don't want to waste your time talking about the other cast of the film as it's just not worth it.

Are you getting the impression I didn't like this film? Well you're right. I am glad I wasted a few hours of my life on it if it saves others from having to waste time. I had high hopes for the film but was very let down. Again it shows that Bollywood just isn't able to bring out good supernatural films very often. This film is nowhere near the standard of films like Naina (which was a copy of a Korean film anyway).

I can't in all honesty give Ei8ht more than 3 out of 10 and that is being generous. It's not a film I want to watch again and even though I bought the DVD it's not staying in my permanent collection! There were just too many inconsistencies with the location bloopers alone without all the HUGE plot holes too for this to be taken seriously as a horror film or supernatural film or even just a general Bollywood drama!
