the story whatsoever and the romance scenes just drag out the film. Oh and talking of dragging out the film, there are 3 or 4 songs in the film which really made things even worse. This sort of film does NOT needs songs in it - it just spoilt the horror/supernatural effect of the film to have songs randomly thrown in. Only one song was somewhat relevant as it's a haunting melody with Kamini's spirit wondering around listlessly but even that song should have been done away with.
Another part of the story which didn't really seem relevant to the story was that fact that Suraj and Radha lost their son a while back and he appears at the start of the film in front of Raj as a spirit and Suraj blames Raj for his death (this is never explained) but the son's death is mentioned a few times during the course of the film.
I don't know if the film was trying to be too clever by throwing in lots of red herrings but instead of being clever it becomes a big mess and is just annoying to the viewer because of the huge amount of plot holes. Yes ok, we're not supposed to get everything in supernatural films but some of it should make sense and/or follow at least a credible path.
I think I've torn apart the film as much as I can for now - now let me talk about the acting. I didn't think any of the cast were at all convincing apart from Kamini played by Vastvikta - and that was only when she was playing a dead woman's spirit - she has a dead expression on her face which worked really well. I must admit most of the cast seemed to have the same expressions on their faces throughout the film, whether they were happy or sad or scared and it was quite frustrating to watch. "GET SOME ACTING LESSONS" I wanted to scream at the screen. Gulshan Grover who plays Suraj is known for playing villains in Bollywood films and he's usually very credible in those roles. I didn't like him in this film - the character didn't suit him. Padmini Kohlapure who played Radha is an actress I admired many years ago, I haven't seen her in any films in 20 years or so and I understand she retired from the film industry when she got married at the age of 21 and only returned when her son grew up. I didn't feel she was the best choice for the character she played in Ei8ht and sadly I don't think she's aged very well - the role could have been played by any number of supporting actresses and probably more convincingly. Now to talk about Raj Tara who plays the lead in Ei8ht. This character really should
