People should not pursue naturopathic remedies when they have cancer.

If naturopathic has been extremely successful, the death rate of human being would not have improved over the years. The fact is, the human race has been thriving thanks to the modern medicine. To cite further example, death due poor health care access is evidently seen when one starts to compare a third world country with developed countries. Infant mortality and even adult deaths are higher in nations without proper medical access.

Hard statistical facts speaks louder than the friend who has "succesfully" cured her cancer with backyard grown herbs and dailymeditation. Each human is unique and the genetic predisposition sets us apart. What may work for a person can prove to be fatal in another. Even in medical science, some individuals develop allergy or side effects to medication. Luckily a medical documented system exist, therefore. physicians are able to dispense sufficient warning to the user on the expected side effects. Documented scientific evidence can provide the truth- it is up to us to seek for it.

CANCER- the most dreaded disease amongst all type; is debilitating and the best medical treatment available is still under research. Despite high death rate, cancer deaths are reducing in numbers with the current available treatment i.e. chemotherapy, targeted therapy or biologics and radiation therapy.

Breast cancer death rate has been in a decline since 1990. Out of the 240,000 confirmed breast cancer cases only about 17% die and these numbers are shrinking by 2.2% annually. ( Reference: American Cancer Society. Breast Cancer Facts & Figures 2007-2008) These numbers are a result of modern medical intervention and not baseless claims from other therapy. Clinically proven medicine has succeeded in arresting death rate and improve quality of life.

The horror stories often heard about chemotherapy side effects can turn anyone away from seeking treatment. However, in recent years with the improvement in medical technology and better understanding of the human body, development of medicine has been aimed towards improving efficacy with minimal side effects.
