Keeping the element of fun alive in a marriage

Has the spark gone out of your marriage? Do you and your spouse feel distant and disconnected? Has your sex life become boring? There is a simple solution. Have an affair...with your spouse! Having an affair with your spouse is a way of keeping the element of fun alive in a marriage.

There are many ways of keeping the element of fun alive in a marriage. One simple way is texting. Once a day send your spouse a text telling him that you are thinking about him. Telling him how sexy he is or that you cannot wait until he comes home.

Write a little note for your partner to find during the day, leave it on top of washing machine where she'll find it or in a briefcase or the place where he tosses his keys when he comes home. Just a few little words relaying how loved and appreciated they are. Just a little thank you can do wonders!

Smile. Say thank you and maybe even I am sorry. It is easy during daily interactions to build up negativity. By clearing away hurt feelings and resentments a couple becomes able to clear away negativity which blocks couples from relating the way they did earlier in the relationship. That magical time before bills, chores and obligations that inevitably creep up and can take over a marriage.

Spice up your marriage by meeting at a hotel room. Go early and set the ambiance with drinks and snacks or you can bring beer and order pizza, whatever you and your spouse enjoy, some rooms come with hot tubs for a little extra fun. Getting away from the house, the laundry, dishes, bills and chores can do wonders to make you feel in love with your spouse again.

Change things up a bit pack a lunch a meet half way at a park or favorite eating spot for lunch. Even better find a secluded spot or meet at home for lunch while the kids are at school for a little afternoon rendezvous.

Let the kids have a sleep over...somewhere else. It is amazing what some time and a good night's sleep can do for a relationship. If you can arrange for the kids to stay at the grandparent's or another safe adult's house do it and have fun relaxing and relating with your partner.

Save the date. Make sure to set aside time for a regular date appointment. Make a commitment to keeping the element of fun alive in your marriage. Time to be alone and connect turn off cell phones, Blackberries, iPods, computers, and the TV and have time just for the two of you doing something you love to do together. Guaranteed there will be an ah-ha moment during the date when all of the reasons why you fell in love and got married in the first place will come flooding back in a rush of renewed romance.

Conspire together with the one you love, flirt, be creative, relax and have fun and you will find keeping the element of fun alive in a marriage is easy and can be done with only the slightest of preparation and effort.
