After you find out you are pregnant, one of the first things your doctor will give you is a list of dos and don'ts; on the top of that don'ts list will be drink alcohol. It is important to follow all the items on the list your doctor gives you, but none will be stressed as much as drinking. There are many reasons why you should never drink alcohol when you are pregnant.
Your unborn child is completely dependent on you for everything. Anything you eat or drink will go directly to your child. You should not eat or drink anything that you do not want your child exposed to. You must always think of your unborn child when you put anything in your body.
If you drink alcohol while you are pregnant, you are exposing your child to a countless number of harmful things. Drinking while you are pregnant can lead to birth defects. You want the best for your child; exposing them to alcohol can seriously affect their quality of life. Birth defects are very serious and can be life-threatening. Drinking alcohol is not worth putting your unborn child's life in danger. Drinking alcohol is something you can give up while you are pregnant in order to improve your child's quality of life.
Drinking alcohol while you are pregnant is not a good idea because it affects your balance and also your judgment. You do not want drinking to cause you to make a decision that you will regret forever. If you are drinking it is much easier to lose your balance; if you do lose your balance and fall there is a chance you can harm the baby. There is a possibility if you fall the wrong way you may go into preterm labor or have a miscarriage.
Giving your child the best chance in life is the most important thing any parent can do; if you choose to drink alcohol while you are pregnant you are seriously endangering your unborn child's life. The best choice for you and your unborn child is for you to remain alcohol-free while you are pregnant.
If your child shows signs that you were drinking while you were pregnant the government will take away the child. No one wants to go through pregnancy and the birth of a child just to have the baby taken away. If you do things that are harmful to the baby including drinking alcohol while pregnant it is very likely that you will not be allowed to take your baby home with you. Drinking while pregnant shows a lack of good judgment.
