One More Day
When I look into your eyes,
A smile I do see,
A burning flame it may be,
The yearning mysteries that are untold,
To all not even a memory,
You go through life not knowing,
Trying as you might,
With no hope,
Just you and the night,
Why could this?
How did this become,
Love so great it never had its time,
Passes you by,
Not another look it gave,

The tune unfinished,
The notes not done,
Tell me now why?
Why did you have to leave,
Leave me alone,
With no hope any care,
Why could you not stay?
Hold me for one more day.
