There are many cases when a breakup may be the best option for you. Many people stay in a relationship long after it should have ended. There is no reason to stay in a relationship that is not healthy or beneficial to you any longer.

A break up is definitely needed when a partner is cheating. There are many fish in the sea, as they say and there are many "fish" that will be faithful. It is very likely if a partner cheats on you once, they will cheat again and again. No one deserves to be cheated on. There are many ways a partner can cheat and all of them are wrong. Cheating should never be tolerated. Cheating is a sickness and without treatment in the form of counseling, it will not get better. People often cheat without knowing why and very few people will seek help when they cheat. Leaving a cheating partner can be very hard but in the long run it is worth the effort.

It is a sad reality that there can be abuse in any relationship. Sometimes the person you love will become abusive. It is important to leave any relationship that shows signs of abuse or that have become abusive. It is very often hard not to blame the abuse on yourself but the abuse is never the victims fault. The sooner you leave the abusive partner the easier it will be. An abuser has a serious problem and without serious help it will not get better. If abuse shows up in a relationship it is definitely better if you end the relationship.

It is important in a relationship to be able to communicate. Communication in a relationship is absolutely necessary to have a good relationship. If you are not able to communicate with your partner in an effective way, your relationship will fall apart. You should not stay in a relationship with someone who you cannot communicate with.

Leaving a relationship can be very hard but when a relationship is no longer a healthy relationship it is best for you to leave. It takes strength to leave a relationship but finding the strength can be empowering, especially for someone leaving an abusive relationship. You should lean on friends and family for help with leaving a bad relationship. You will need all the help you can get and you should take any that is offered. Help leaving a bad relationship is often what is needed to take the step of leaving. If you are not in a healthy relationship, you should leave it as soon as possible.
