My Lost Love Song

(verse1)
I've heard that time can erase all pain.
Well, it's been years and I still feel the same,
When I think of you....
I still want you.
I asked my heart if there's a bit of room,
to love again, or is it just a tomb,
holding memories......
forever haunting me?

(Chorus)
Forbidden fruit has the sweetest taste.
When love is real, it can't be replaced.

So I remain alone.....
Singing my lost love song.

(verse 2)
I wasn't yours, and you were not mine,
but we were ours, in our stolen time.
Broken rules......
Healing broken fools.
Saw you with her, but you didn't see me.
That's when I knew how it, had to be....
She was only two.....
and she needed you.

(Chorus)
Forbidden fruit can be bittersweet....
And sometimes love must take a backseat.
So here I am alone.....
Singing my lost love song.

(verse 3)
Years have come and years have passed,
Still your role could not be recast.
It was always you.....
though you never knew.
I lay me down to sleep at night.
I close my eyes and dream I'm holding you tight.
If dreams came true,
I'd wake up with you.

(Chorus)
Forbidden fruit has the sweetest taste.
When love is real, it can't be replaced.
So I remain alone....
Singing my lost love song.

(Fading)
I know I can't have you...
But no one else will do.
