Poetry: Love's anguish

by Kristina Sullivan

Created on: June 23, 2009

Living a lie.
In a disguise.
A masquerade.
Playing pretend.
Will the circus ever end?
Unveiling your true self
is difficult for you.
If you never show me the real you,
then our relationship will be through.
I'm the type to keep it real.
You always know how I feel.
An open book
free for you to read.
Baby, please take my lead.
I need to know you
to love you.
Take down your guard
and let me in.
I promise you
I can make your life
win win.
