True love does not die incomplete
When the eyes are closed together
To create the immortal spirit
Love holds them responsive forever
True love does not die with our dream
When two hearts are separated
Flowers may still be given
With gifts and kind words said
True love does not die but lives on
To transcend our very existence
Within the mystery of evaluation
To every reason and circumstance
Love does not die with regret
True love remains alive in another form
Mystifying the human concept
With changes to this earthly uniform
True love lives on with the changes
That surrounds our heart
Love is alive in brave new stages
Going further with each passing beat

Love holds them
