Finding good information about boxing is a fairly easy task to accomplish. Considering that it is one of the world's most popular sports, there is a wealth of boxing knowledge available online. Maybe you are looking for a website that tells you records of virtually every known boxer from any era. Perhaps you would like to find out all of the latest results from bouts around the world. Or, maybe you are researching the best drills, workouts, and equipment. Regardless of what you are trying to find, chances are there is a website out there that has that information. Let's take a look at some of the best that the web has to offer.
www.boxrec.com - This website features records of practically every boxer who has ever set foot into a ring. The site features searches by name, date, rankings, results, and a host of other options. When the search is complete, all of the results are featured and allow you to click on the boxer to see information such as their record, weight class, height, reach, stance, nicknames, and several other items. There is also a list of every bout that the boxer has fought in. This list shows the date, opponent, opponent's record, location, result, and the round that the fight ended in. It also lists the referee and judges for each fight, the judges' scores if the fight went to decision, and any titles that were challenged. It is very interesting to link from fighter to fighter through these records to see how fighters are connected through opponents.
http://espn.go.com/boxing/ - Just as the address implies, this is ESPN's site for all the latest boxing news. Up to the minute reports on bouts worldwide make this the go-to site for finding out who won the latest championship bout. The site also features schedules, rankings, and message boards for people interested in chatting about boxing.
www.fightnews.com - Another site similar to ESPN's boxing site. This page features the latest news in boxing as well and will sometimes feature different articles about bouts and fighters.
www.boxingscene.com - The great thing about this site is the in-depth forums that discuss training and nutritional needs in boxing. Any questions can be posted and there are several qualified moderators as well as life-long boxing coaches and practitioners that can give advice. Video tutorials on techniques and training are also posted regularly.
www.ringside.com - This website is the place to go for any equipment needs. Dirt cheap prices on quality equipment by all the top manufacturers. Any boxing product for boxers, trainers, coaches, and corner men are available, including actual full size boxing rings.
As you can see, anything that interests you about boxing can be found on the web. Try some of theses sites out and I'm sure that you won't be disappointed.
