A dialogue on utilitarianism

Act based and rule based Utilitarianism are the two major forms that developed from J.S. Mill's philosophical invention. Yet consequentialism is virtually a third form of utilitarianist criterion. It is necessary to form some basis for deciding if an action of any sort is good or bad, right or wrong-and one of those criteria is to inverse the principle of utilitarianism where one generally seeks the good of the greatest number of people in order to maximize happiness before an action, whereas in consequentialism one considers the consequences of an act after the fact and judges it by its consequences. An obvious problem with that is the still contingent or abstract definition of what is good-subject to so much variation in meaning.

The utilization value of a political philosophy as the sole moral criteria is a kind of Sodom and Gomorrah ideal actualization tool. If everyone likes to be debased and swinish, to get even with everyone and cut anyone better down to size; utilitarianism is the political philosophy most suitable for the purpose. The right developed role of a political philosophy should be as a way to defend the rights of individuals from victimization by others best-that becomes more complex in an urban society with so many involuntary social contacts that make privacy and self-determination more difficult.

Forced consumerism to keep pace with earning a livable income, predation by global corporations and corporate media television brainwashing obviously make it easy for individuals to quickly slide into a pit of existentialist utilitarian political philosophy with pure material relative, collectivized goals. Prisoners and slaves with just a few hidden utilitarian political philosopher overseers or global business executive rulers in pursuit of the ideal mammon could live in true equality with a scalable utilitarian social ethic in poverty as well as prosperity. Utilitarian renders individuals subject to others fundamentally as objects to be decided about. When it is deemed useful to liquidate them, they have no more right to protest than a bug. To protest would be considered anti-soicial and a fact of anti-state activities perhaps requiring the correction of death ort re-education.

Ontology is the largest general reference term to everythiing that exists inclusive of the Universe, and of perception in any criterion. Deontology is a term meaning duty. Any comprehensive moral philosphy with some basis in natural law or of an absolute
