Poetry: My angel

by Michael Lees

Created on: June 22, 2009

No man is severed from you
Circles echo and collide
The stealing of this touching hand
None pursue to know
No man is there, image or no
Or at least such seems so
There is absence dancing in the rain
...It's time to stop waiting on the angels now

The suicidal disappear
They are grey in a rainbows sight
Reaching out to the writhing girl
In smoke
Chiming bells on piercing screams
Oh, the tintinnabulation!
The angel held back by angels high
...It's time to stop waiting for the angels now

The long hair dilatory devil-sin
Observes and never lets you in
On wings, on posters, on all the walls
Hollow voices breaking down
Faces, and faces, and faces, and faces
Eyes, so still and lost
How to obtain and possess and love
...It's time to stop waiting on the angels now
