Abovetopsecret.com is perhaps the premiere website for conspiracy theorists, alternate thinkers, and people that are just flat out curious when it comes to why things sometimes happen that don't make sense. Whether someone is drawn to the oddities of the JFK assassination and thinks there is more going on the public hasn't been told, or they believe perhaps the economic crises is part of an elaborate plan for world domination years in the making, there is a page here for you. In fact almost anything you can imagine has been dissected and laid out for your examination.

Much of what is presented looks very well researched and official, but you have to keep in mind the age old saying, "Consider the source." There are some things which seem to go beyond the realm of crackpot like time travel, and other things like secret military bases left over from the Nazi regime in Antarctica that seem reasonable. They seem reasonable in part at least until you read about the supposed genetically mutated "Polarmen" whom were part of a Nazi experiment.

What is so intriguing about this site which keeps so many visitors coming back however is the presentation and research. Unlike many conspiracy theory sites, abovetopsecret.com does provide plenty of valid research which is irrefutable that any citizen can obtain through FOIA requests and documented first hand accounts and media coverage to support or in some cases refute a theory. The fact that this site will at times state something is beyond sound reason does make it attractive as it shows they have some grounding in reality.

What is specifically nice is that they take pains to be comprehensive and weave everything together in an easy to follow format so that it is spoon-fed to the reader while at the same time leaving room for each individual to draw their own conclusions. They don't pull any punches so far as presenting the sound and bizarre theories so that when you finish examining any given subject you can walk away from it feeling as if you really have seen everything that is available on it.

From the standpoint of a user visiting the site the have done a super job of indexing everything and rotating content to the front page so it remains looking fresh and everything is easy to find. They have done a splendid job of not only giving visitors a look at the oddities of the past, but up to date potential conspiracies of the future unfolding today right before our eyes. The user forums can get a little weird at times, but the moderators do an exceptional of keeping it all under control and in good taste so that anyone can feel both free and safe to join in.

If you are looking for the absolute truth and only the proved and accepted mass media truth you won't find that here. They are going to give you every take for every theory they can lay their hands on and do justice to. You are however going to find that in a world wide web filled with tons of pretenders trying to stake claim to this niche, abovetopsecret.com is the undisputed king of the hill, the true and honest gold standard. You may not believe everything you read, but you will walk away from it on many occasions with a new perspective.
