Be sure and advertise, create a website, get the word out in any way you possibly can. Networking can really help spread mention of your new business. Chances are your advertising budget isn't very high, so you'll want to take advantage of the Internet and word of mouth which costs little to no money.
On the Home Front
The tricky part of operating a business from home is separating work and personal life. While the initial time frame during start-up is likely to consume a lot of personal and family time, it is important to have balance once the business is up and running.
Create separate work space, set regular office hours (and stick to them!) and also when you are 'on the clock' retain a level of professionalism. Many people like to get up, shower, and dress as if they were going to an external office outside the home. This seems to provide a good foundation and routine for separating work and home life.
When quitting time rolls around, follow your schedule and close up shop for the day. While it might be tempting to remain open to try and be more profitable, if you spend every waking hour working, inevitably your family or personal life is bound to suffer. If you end up with problems there, it will spill into business which in the long run will have a negative impact on both professional and home life.
Many people nowadays are chasing their dreams and opening up home businesses. You too can establish a successful business from your home with the right idea, attitude and approach.
