~Extra pair of clothes
Always pack an extra outfit for your baby, especially a warm jumper that may come in handy if it's cold where you're visiting.
~Blanket
A blanket can be used for swaddling, extra warmth or for even laying baby on the floor.

Items that you may need
Don't forget to pack items that you may need when visiting too. This can include breast pads, sanitary pads, a vomit towel or cloth, a spare shirt or pants and even a snack for yourself. Have a small pack of nuts or a muesli bar on hand for those times you may need it.
Extra things for the nappy bag
As baby grows a little older, you may need to add a few extras to the nappy bag. Have a bottle of baby Panadol handy, for those times baby may be ill or have a slight temperature. It's also handy to pack some teething gel for when teeth begin to erupt through baby's gums.
Being prepared is essential to a pleasant visiting experience with your baby. It is also better to be over prepared than to have forgotten an essential item. Visiting with a baby is a great way of getting out of the house for both of you. It doesn't need to be an anxious experience, but the more you do it the more you'll know what items you need to have prepared that will make it a successful experience.
