The best place to take your dog for a walk in San Antonio, TX

If you have a dog there are plenty of beautiful places to go enjoy a walk in San Antonio, Texas. Here is a list of several places that you can walk with your dog or let them play off-leash.

Off-leash dog parks
1. McAllister Park

If you are looking for an off-leash dog park where your dogs can run around and play with other dogs, take them to McAllister Park. There they can enjoy the park, drink water that is convenient to both humans and canines.



2. Pearsall Dog Park
4700 Old Pearsall Road, San Antonio, Texas

Another dog park in the San Antonio area is Pearsall Dog Park which has 1.5 acres that are designated as off-leash. The area is fenced in and it is always full of dogs to play with.

Other places to take your pup on-leash
1. Eisenhower Park

Eisenhower Park has five miles of trail that are fantastic for taking your dog on a walk. Along your walk you can enjoy nice canyon views on the paved trails. There are also several natural paths that make for a nice walk with your dog as well.

2. San Antonio Mission Trail

Another great place to take your dog on a walk is along the San Antonio Mission Trail. While you are walking you can enjoy the traditional architecture of the historical missions of San Antonio as well as the lovely scenery.

3. Rancho San Antonio County Park
There are also many trails in the Rancho San Antonio County Park where you can take your dog on-leash. There are pretty surroundings, including meadows and farmland.

4. San Pedro Springs Park

Also consider taking your dog to the San Pedro Springs Park, which is the second oldest park in the United States. The scenery is nice with the shade from the trees and great views of the lake.

5. Brackenridge Park

Close to downtown San Antonio, the Brackenridge Park holds many paths where you can walk your dogs on leash.

6. Braunig Park
17500 Donop Road, San Antonio, Texas
You can take your dogs on a walk at the Braunig Park as well, and enjoy some beautiful views of the lake. There is a day fee use for this park but it is minimal.
