Great uses for leftover beer

So you had that get together at your house and your fridge was so full that people were stranding 6 packs on your back porch in make shift coolers. The party is over and you have 1 or 10 left over cans of warm beer to contend with, or may just decide to throw out. Before you make any rash decisions on dumping the frothy stuff like Eliot Ness on a bootleg busting rampage, remember that beer is a multi-purpose potable. Listed below are ten exceptional uses for left over beer.

2. What light doth shine through yonder window beer... Beer makes a great shampoo. The proteins and sugar adds glisten to any mane. This has been a secret passed down through the ages. If you plan to pour it down the drain, why not strain it through your scalp first?

3. Bubble, bubble, boil and trouble... Beer steams great hot dogs. Use beer instead of water to steam your next frank or bratwurst and enjoy the flavor that a burned grilled wienie will miss. As a matter of fact, beer makes a great marinate for lots of meats and meat dishes.

4. Stop bugging me, Man! Want to kill some garden pests without poisoning your own pets? Circle your tomato plants (or other vegetables and herbs) with beer. The bugs are attracted to the sugar in the beer, fall in and can't get out. If your pooch gets into the beer, they make get a liitle buzz, but won't have the violent reaction to being around some house and garden poison.

5. Eau de Ro-dent. Mice and rats are attracted to the scent of beer. Place a bucket near their entry way. They jump in, but can't get out. Start their wake with a proper going away party.

6. Coors is brewed in Golden Colorado. You can dip your gold in a beer, wipe gently and have some shiny beer baubles.

7. You got me, Copper! As with gold (mentioned above), copper items can be cleaned by soaking in beer and gently buffing.

8. I'm wiped! Want to dust some wooden furniture and revive the wood grain? Add a little beer to your dust rag and watch the results.

9. You're soaking in it! Why just steam hot dogs with the stuff when you can add it to your own bath? The yeast in the beer does wonders for your skin.

10. Drink it! It calms the stomach. Gives your body fuel and nutrients. If you want to break it down, beer is just liquid bread with pain killing side effect. Over indulge and you create your own pain.

Remember, beer has been around for a long time. Where ever civilizations were discovered in the the past 10,000 years, there was usually beer around. In fact, word has it, the Pilgrims stopped at Plymouth Rock because they ran out of beer. Beer it's not just for breakfast anymore.
