wonderful shades of blue
The sky has opened in a wonderful shade of blue I've never seen before
the sun is bright in beautiful shades of red and
yellow that make a gorgeous orange
my eyes suddenly have a sparkle that I haven't seen in years
My heart beats with excitement, my life has suddenly started
I can fly like a dove
I roll myself in the soft warm wind
now that I've let you go
I can smile again and feel free like a bird
that was released after being trapped in a cage for so long
No more chains of despair
no more dreary shades of blue
my soul, my mind, and my heart
are now filled with the wonderful shades of blue
