Marriages need constant nurturing for their healthy growth and maturation. Maintaining a happy marriage takes a lot of work, and when there are children involved, it just becomes that much more difficult. In order to have a happy marriage in spite of the fact that you are busy parenting can be achieved rather easily, provided you and your spouse are willing to put forth the effort.

Parenting is a full time job, and at the end of the day, there tends to be not too much left for the other aspects of your life. Since becoming a parent, other activities have minimized or ceased altogether.

Your social life has suffered somewhat, and you have given up on some luxuries, such as regular exercise or sporting events. As long as your marriage does not suffer, then these are all just part of growing up. Marriages are in a constant state of evolution.

Keeping the marriage fires lit requires steadfast devotion, and a persistent effort. No matter how tired or busy you become with your parenting duties, you must never neglect your marriage. Keeping the marriage alive and vibrant is of paramount importance. The obstacles of marriage happiness often revolve around parenting, but there does not need to be any problems associated with this.

Children are a product of the mutual love and respect shared between you and your spouse, and you must always ensure that nothing gets in the way of that. Often, spouses will bicker and argue about differing parenting strategies, which must be looked into in a calm manner. Happiness is a choice.

Make sure to include your spouse in all decisions about the children so that the other does not feel as though they are not holding a valuable opinion. There is no greater disservice that you can do to your children than to set a bad example, so make certain to always show your children that you love your spouse.

Being a great parent involves many facets, one of which is being a great spouse. By showing your children that you love your husband or wife, you are instilling in your children solid family values that will be forever etched into their impressionable minds. Parenting is a full time job, and trying to accommodate outside employment, personal time, and a marriage, can seem to be a daunting task.

Keeping a marriage happy takes a lot of time, patience, energy, nurturing and commitment. You must never neglect your marriage vows. There are many ways to maintain a healthy and happy relationship with your spouse, all the while fulfilling the duties
