The United Corporation of America
The United States has not been a sovereign nation since the creation of the Federal Reserve; which is in fact, NOT a government agency. In this sense, our Constitutional rights have in many ways been null and void for decades. We may not be a police state as of yet, but we are certainly becoming a fascist, corporate, globalist state.
Actually, many of our unalienable rights were dissolved with the signing of the Patriot Act and formation of Homeland Security. Many Americans don't even realize that the officers of the Border Patrol have unlimited jurisdiction in the U.S. Not to mention, our military is the strongest in recorded history. What if our own troops were called upon to police their homeland? By Presidential Executive Order, this could be the case in the wake of another terrorist attack or natural disaster in the States.
The United States is fighting three wars simultaneously(Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan), remains close to Israel with all their invested interests and has military bases in 92 countries around the globe. The government spends tax payer and budget money in ludicrous ways, remaining in the Wall-street banker's pockets, absolutely ignoring increases in poverty, famine and lack of health care.
Surveillance of our citizens such as cellphone taps, global positioning systems( On Star), the collecting, storing and sharing of personal Internet data has increased exponentially since 9/ll. The use of surveillance cameras or police scanners that automatically search for traffic violations, by reading your license plate and registration before an officer even pulls you over are a spreading plague here, and in the United kingdom. Big Brother has been here for quite some time.
Police brutality, the use of taser-guns and mace by police officers has grown to dangerous levels, not even elderly women are safe from being stunned, for even the slightest infraction. In some instances, you even need a permit to protest on certain sidewalks and our 2nd amendment is constantly under attack.
I truly believe we have become the land of the sheep and the home of the slave. Our freedom of genuine choice is disappearing. The American dream has become a carnival of labels, unceasing products and many in this country have a strong dependency upon materialism versus matters of the spirit. We as a nation of independent people is what stands between a true Republic or a terrorizing, Orwellian police state.
