A Scrapbooking Crop Party is a gathering of people who love the art of scrapbooking and want to learn about new products and techniques in a social gathering, as they work on their own pages. The party may be aimed at selling scrapbooking tools and materials or may be just a gathering of friends and acquaintances who want to get together to share some fun.

*Invitations

Your invitations should include time, date, place, directions, your phone number and the name of any guest speakers. Requesting RSVP will allow you to crate the necessary work spaces needed. If you plan to sell or take orders for materials, tools and supplies mention this in the invitation as well. Cute scrapbook style invitations are fun to create but are not necessary for small informal crop parties.

*Agenda

Plan out the day's agenda and print a program for each person. Include games you will be playing, show and share time, lunch time and any demonstrations or guest speakers you have planned. Don't let the day get stagnate, break it up by giving the guests a chance to move about and socialize with games at regular intervals.

*Where

A small gathering of scrapbookers can be held at the home of the host who provides work space, games and refreshments. Often, each guest will bring either beverages, sandwiches, chips or some other snack. Invitations can be as casual as word of mouth or an email announcing the party.

Larger Crop Parties are usually held at a church hall, or in a rented conference room at a local hotel. sometimes each attendee will pay a small fee to defray the cost of the room and refreshments. The church or hotel will usually supply all the tables, chairs and a refreshment area. As with a home party, you do the clean up.

*When

Scrapbooking parties are popular year round and usually last all day. Choosing a good time to host a Crop Party will mean knowing your guests well. If, you want a good turn out, you must find a time that is convenient for all and this means considering work, school and other community events as well as vacation time in the summer. Weekends usually work well if you give plenty of notice.

A Scrapbooking Crop Party is a chance to learn new techniques to use in your own memory books. It's also a great chance to socialize with others who have the same interests as you. If, you enjoy scrapbooking and are invited to a crop, plan to attend, you'll be glad you did.
