That was all I asked of you
I tried hope
It kept me thus far
Watching you walk away
Hand in hand
With another
They know nothing of my pain

With that hope creeps
Even in my self pity
Hope curses me
With one more hint of love
And I bitterly press on
Reaching for what is just beyond
Constantly losing love
