Determining the best email service: Gmail, Hotmail, or Yahoo

by Gabrielle Schrader

E-mail has almost always been free and E-mail providers have always been prevalent upon the web. It isn't hard to find e-mail providers for whatever you need. They are very easy to find and very easy to join. However, which e-mail service is the best? Gmail, Hotmail, or Yahoo?

For many e-mail users it depends on the kind of account you need. Yahoo is much better for those who are interested in creating and generating free websites. Gmail is better for people who wish to use groups because they have a good onlne community. They can also be good for frequent users of www.google.com because it is here where you can login and keep everything personalized. The same goes for Yahoo with www.yahoo.com or Hotmail with www.msn.com. I have also found Hotmail to be the best for the overall e-mail set-up. They have the best personalized information and the best e-mail system. Hotmail also is good for msn messenger/windows messenger where yahoo is obviously good for yahoo messenger. It really depends on what you need. All three work great for e-mail but have slightly different important features. I personally use hotmail because msn messenger was a big draw for me. I have, however, had e-mail accounts with all three e-mail service providers. If you only intend to use e-mail, I would use hotmail.com. If you think having an e-mail address with hotmail sounds too teenager-like then go ahead and put yourusername@live.com . This works the same but live may sound slightly more professional than hotmail. I think that regardless of the e-mail service provider you choose you will b pleased.

I use my e-mail frequently, in fact I check it multiple times daily. I love that on hotmail, they have such great and beautiful customizable scenes. They also have an easy contact list. I think the aesthetics on their site are of a much higher quality than the aesthetics on those of other sites. I have also found all three service providers to have about the same amount of customer service. I would say it all depends on what you are looking for, what you need, and what can help you the most. For me, like I said earlier, msn messenger as well as the aesthetically pleasing design of the e-mail led me to keep my hotmail e-mail rather than my g-mail e-mail or yahoo e-mail. It seemed the nicest. If you still aren't sure you can do what I did and get an e-mail with all three service providers. In the end, the choice is yours. What will you decide?
