Just like the waves wash over the sea
Memories of you are washing over me
Sweet memories whose beauty carries me away
Into the arms of a distant yesterday
Where love was our spring of happiness
& you were a river flowing with tenderness
Where I was the light in your eyes
Together you & I found lovers' paradise
Within your heart I found my home
With you in my life, I could never be alone
We shared a love so beautiful it brightened our skies
It made us see forever in each other's eyes
Within that touch of love we were born again...
Two hearts that flew upon the wings of heaven
Our souls set sail to a more beautiful horizon
Entwined as they breathed in the scent of our passion
For a single moment ..so perfect and serene
I can feel the way you & I used to be
But when I open my eyes ,it all withers away
& a sad thought drifts me to the shore of today..
Try as I might I can't turn back the time
A voice deep in the sea tells me you won't be mine
As a wave of sadness fills my heart with silent tears
& drowns me in the memory of you going away
it leaves behind your gentle whisper..so loud &clear
With all the tenderness your voice held
With all the love your heart ever felt
Like a mother sings to her baby a lullaby
You softly whispered goodbye...
A curtain of darkness descends upon my eyes
Beneath it hides the pain I feel inside
Yet in my heart I pray for better days to come
Holding no more sorrow for what our love has become
The shadow of your love will no longer cloud my skies
A light within my dawn made me realize
Amidst the darkness there will rise a sun
Somehow, someway life just goes on
Won't shed a tear over a river that ran dry
For I'll be a sun in someone else's sky

Poetry: Memories of you
by Andrew Thorn
Each lonely beat of my restless heart bears a memory.
The hugs we shared that I wished would never end.
The picnic in
Photos and letters in a box
Are all memories of you
Untouched since they were put in order
By your hand
I should read them again

ETERNAL LOSS
The dust deepens on the pitted mantlepiece
As the minutes and hours escape me
Praying for such an eternal release
Memories of the Past
We buried her last week,
Our beloved matriarch,
At a hundred years of age,
She surely left her mark.
by Muniza Wasi
These are the memories of you
that tear me apart
depression thus attacks a lot
no healing matters, no hobby diverts
sedative
