How to overcome the fear of public speaking

again summarize it. By the time you have your cards ready, you will know it inside and out.

4. If all else fails...

If you have prepared all you can, you have addressed your problem, and you still have problems try these last ditch actions. Picture everyone in their underwear. It's an old trick, but it works. It lessens how important you see your audience and you will fear them less. Go to a comedy club and heckle the comedian until you feel comfortable. Then you are ready to deal with anyone who complains when you are speaking. And as a last resort, you can have a signal arranged with a friend to either call your cell phone ("Sorry, this is an emergency, I have to take it!") or they can pull the fire alarm. Knowing you have a backup plan like this can make it easier for you to speak in public - you know you have a way out if things get too bad.

Put the effort in and you will see the results

The biggest hurdle with public speaking is just getting up and doing it. Once you have spoken in public a few times, you will find it's nowhere near as bad as you thought it would be., You will quickly work on improving your style, delivery, and how you read your audience during your speech. Before you know it, you will be delivering speeches like a pro!
