As a charming young bachelor,
you played the field,
girls flocked around,
hoping you'd yield,
to their heart's desires,
and perhaps even falter,
in your determination to
sidestep the altar.
I played hard to get,
you were impressed,
and let down your guard,
but now I'll confess.
You thought you won me over
in the game of romance,
but,once I had you in my sights,
you never stood a chance.
