Amazon.com is one of the most popular internet sites for shopping. You can find books, DVDs, CDs, musical instruments, electronics, and many other items. Amazon.com is one of the most trusted internet brands and has been selling online since 1995. It was created by Jeff Bezos in 1994 and began by first selling books before adding all the items its sells today.

Navigating The Site

Amazon.com has a good navigation system which makes is easy to find what you are looking for. There is a nice menu at the left side of the site which can be expanded to reveal more choices and at the top of the site you will find a search engine. If you sign up and log in, you will even get personal recommendations based upon your past purchases. As you navigate the site and look through the various departments you will also find many best seller lists which may help you decide what to buy. Each section has its own categories which can be browsed through. For example, in the books section the books are broken down according to type of book such as fiction, non fiction, politics, and sports. You will also find that each section will display the newest books so if you are interested in history you can browse the history section and the latest books releases in history will be displayed there.

While Amazon.com does have a lot of selection, you can sometimes feel overwhelmed by the amount of products and the pages feel cluttered with the amount of material you are shown. When you search for something it doesn't necessarily come up with the latest release, although you can sort it once the search is done.

Buying From Amazon

Buying from amazon is a simple process of putting what you want into the shopping cart. If you like an item you can put it onto a wish list and buy it at another time. Another feature of Amazon is that each product can be rated which can help you decide if you want to buy a product or not. Many products will have previews that you can view such a music samples, video, or book pages. On each product page you will also get recommendations and similar products to buy and a stock indicator shows you if the item is in stock. Other features include the marketplace where you can purchase from other sellers who have their products listed on amazon.

I have purchased from Amazon.com before and I found the checkout, credit card processing system, and finalization of my order went very smoothly. You will receive an Email about your order and can view your order through the website. Your account page contains your order summary, past order history, change payment, email, and other options. I have purchased many things on Amazon.com and in all that time I have never had a misplaced order, or been sent the wrong item. My products have been sent in a timely manner and nicely packaged. I feel safe shopping on Amazon.com and would shop there again.

Amazon.com offers one of the best shopping experiences on the internet. It is a trusted brand and has a great selection of products. The interface can sometimes feel cluttered with the amount of products and selection you are offered but you can search through it. Buying from Amazon.com is very easy and safe.
