You're gone
I sit here and think
I want this pain to not be real
All this torment and sadness that I feel
What a dilusion I was in
The fantasy of marriage to begin
You're gone...I know
Why the hell does this still hurt me so
You're gone...have slipped away into the night
You're gone...I know
I never loved like I did with you
I never fell so hard and true
When you left without a trace
A bewilderment puzzle was permanently stamped on my face
You're gone...I know
Why the hell does this still hurt me so
You're gone...have slipped away into the night
You're gone...I know
I never felt so beautiful and loved by another
Your love draped me like delicate chiffon cover
It's hard to wrap around that this was all a fake
This poisonous drink unfortunately I had to take
You're gone...I know
Why the hell does this still hurt me so
You're gone...have slipped away into the night
Your'e gone...I know
So here's the deal now
I have to move on and take a bow
No more should of could of why
No more holding on this unending painful sigh
You're gone...I know
Throw away the puzzle
Throw away the pain
Cause true love is a gain
Not a loss
So I now am making a decision to put down this heavy cross
I'm making myself open and free for another
Someone real that will drape me in white
A real gentleman...that won't slip away in the night.

Poetry: You're gone
by Jon Coe
I go to work, I come home
I sometimes talk to you, on the phone
I watch TV, I go to bed
I didn't hear, what you said
You pack
The starlight silhouette
As I watch you leave
Taking with you everything
That meant anything to me
The glimmer
Each day I awoke I felt your presence
That pressure on me was so immense
For I was but a child too
And I just didn't know what
What happened mother dear?
You gave birth to me,
Then parted ways,
Perhaps out of fear.
I grew up not knowing why,
I asked
Ever touch, every word
Was a lie.
Every moment wasted
You’ve forgotten.
Every time your eyes snag mine
I know that
