Best clothing brands for men

That would depend on your budget mostly.
If you have money, then there are several brands for you, depending on the look you are going for. Giorgio Armani is an amazing brand for those looking for that sensual professional look. Armani uses more toned colors, lots of black and white, so it is good for going around looking casual-professional or if you are going to a fancy restaurant without being boring. If you want a more free, colorful night-club look, then Gucci is your friend. Using bright colors, unusual textures, fabrics and mixtures, Gucci can be extremely stunning. Gucci also makes beautiful wool suits, but the price is steep. For wonderful winter coats, you can look at Versace. The best speedos are from Dolce and Gabbana. Notice I am staying with Italian designers. Explore others if you feel you should, but these are sure to give you something you want. Many of these designers (if not all) have Haute Couture lines as well. These lines are where they make a particular piece, but they actually make it to tailor you best. These are the optimum to get, but it will cost you a little.

If you have some money, but can't afford a $1000 wool suit, then welcome to the second line. These are made to fit a certain body type, like slim fit, skinny, loose, etc. American Brands generally run in this area. I feel that Calvin Klein is the best for this area, but CK is more for people looking for a sleek look, more blacks and whites and such (the Armani of the second line). For a brighter look, GAP and American Eagle are good to look at, though they generally are similar if not the same. Banana Republic is another good second line brand, very good selection. There is also Abercrombie & Fitch, the porno store. Trust me, go into one and tell me what you think (everyone's half naked in the photos, groping something). However, you can't deny that their clothes are excellent. For a god sense of the second line, walk into a mall and search around. Generally, these brands are in there, and they are excellent.

If you don't have the money to pay $50 for a pair of jeans, then welcome to the final line. These clothes are less about brand and more about placement. Go to Target for a great selection of shirts and pants, but go to Burlington Coat for suits and jackets. Get only underwear or such from Wal-Mart if you can.

I, myself, and in between the second and first line. I have lots of Calvin Klein, but I love Armani. Gucci is still out of my price range, but I'm saving up for the new spring/summer collection coming out. Remember, clothing does make a difference in a lot of cases, so be careful. Not all of us (including me) can buy strictly first line clothing, but no one should, unless on a limited budget, stay on the third line. Second line is a good place to go, but always try to get a little of all. Remember, you can't play with your kids in Versace (unless you are extremely rich or extremely crazy).
