What will happen to the elderly under the Obama/Biden Health Care Reform Plan? Under the new plan, the elderly will lose the ability to choose if they can have treatment or surgeries. Their health care will be seriously diminished in favor of health care for younger, more "worthy" citizens. Should a drug abusing patient that will be out on the street seeking a hit one week after surgery be considered for a surgical treatment before an elderly patient who has worked all of their life?

This entire health care reform reeks of Socialism and uniformity. The Obama/Biden Administration seems to be more concerned with their personal travel agendas and spending or giving away the taxpayer dollars than keeping Americans safe and healthy.

"Uniformity" seems to be the underlying theme of every venture that the Obama Administration puts forth. Uniformity in health care will hurt America in the long run. Every person should have the right to make their own decisions about what treatment they want and what doctor will treat them. With Obama Health Care, we will lose the ability to choose and decide on our own. In fact, some of these decisions will be made for us based on our age.

The elderly population will be undercut for treatment if another younger person needs the same treatment. The elderly in the Obama administration are seen as expendable and not important enough to provide care for. This could prove to be very dangerous and unfortunate for the elderly population, which is expected to increase dramatically over the next few years. Do the elderly and retired individuals not matter to this administration?

President Obama and Vice President Joe Biden are putting a lot of effort into getting a new health care reform pushed through. However, at closer examination, this reform is not a reform at all. It is simply a dictation of what people will and will not be allowed to do. Does that sound familiar? So far, dictate and try to create a Socialist government is all the Obama administration has done.

The administration is concerned about the frivolous spending that the current health care system invites. I seem to remember some frivolous spending that Obama and Biden have done at the taxpayer's expense. A recent quarter million fly by over New York City comes to mind, not to mention the recent country hopping that has been done by Obama and his family. Someone should let the President know that there are people suffering by losing their homes, jobs and livelihood.
