Decide to Revise

Why revision is important to you as a writer.

When you drive through Burger King and you order a burger and fries, you pay for the order only to discover that it is a fish sandwich and fries. You as a customer are very dissatisfied. You expect them to make your order right. You expect to get what you paid for.

Writing is also a service. You write to have your work published for your audience, customers, and readers. You should expect your customers to be satisfied with your work so that they may return. Who wants to read a bunch of jumbled up words that are misspelled? It looks so unprofessional. In writing there should be gains and not losses. That is why revisions are important. It is important to you as a writer to revise your work and correct spellings. It is important to you to realize that you have made an error and you should correct it. It is very important to take time to correct your mistakes. If you do not take pride in your work you will not get very far and you will have less readers. For someone to take care and consideration for their writing will gain a large audience. Offer your audience the best material and you will receive great rewards.

Most editors and publishers started out where you are today. They work to achieve the very best. They know the writer who loves to write and those who don't. They have the ability to pick and choose and give awards to those who deserve them. Take pride in your writing and you may even be promoted to a higher position.

Time and patience are an important role in submitting your work. Editors are not there to teach spelling. Take it upon yourself to do a good job. Presenting good work makes you stand out and shine like a star. Your readers are pleased and they will increase. Decide to revise and that will be a good decision on your behalf and others.

Just imagine when you are able to see your name on a book at the bookstore. Isn't that rewarding? Writing is a business and the more you know will increase you chances for success. For beginners, attending writer's conferences may be helpful in gaining new knowledge. Also this is a chance for you to meet new people, editors and agents.

Being inspirational and informative can take you a long way. Set goals for yourself and you will come to find a great accomplishment. Don't let rejections get you down. Keep your head up, and continue to do your best. Rejection may give you the blues but you can learn from the mistakes you make and do a better job.
