For those that are unfamiliar with the term scrapbooking crop it refers to a group of people gathering to share their ideas on putting together albums in a unique way. Scrapbooking has become a very popular hobby and if you have attended a scrapbook cropping party you already know how much fun they can be. Maybe you enjoyed it so much you would like to set up your own crop. These are not just ordinary gatherings of hobbyist, a lot of time and effort goes into starting a crop. Sometimes there are professional presentations and money can be made by doing this. Anyone considering how to set up a scrapbooking crop will find it requires planning and preparation.

Location

Before you start setting up your crop seminar you will have to consider location. It is important that you choose a central location that is easily accessed by all of your potential members that you invite. You have to think of your group as a whole, the place that is the cheapest may not always be the most convenient for your group. Consider how difficult the trip will be for all. If there is road construction, closed roads, these and other major events in the area it may affect the turn out of your group. Research your location to ensure you haven't chosen a busy weekend with other large events taking place at the same time.

Activities and presentation

Don't expect your group to fend for themselves. They need an experienced instructor to help them get organized and they will be looking to you for guidance. They want to have time to put together their scrapbook pages and their albums. Your experience instructor should be able to show your group the latest products that are being offered and give clear and concise tips and pointers of interesting and unique ways of creating scrapbooks. Your group will be looking for inspiration to see the latest trend in the world of scrapbooking and ideas they can take home with them for their own scrapbooks.

Present the product

Most people that set up scrapbooking seminars usually represent a company of scrapbook suppliers. They will bring the latest product and sell it at the seminar. This is a business that will give out business cards that give the crop the opportunity to order supplies after they go back home. The products that they bring are usually samples and display packages and are sold at a reduced rate from the company that you're representing in your seminar.
