I love Him because He first loved me

I'd rather forget every other thing save Him

Through highs and lows of life He's been my unseen guest

Dreams and wishes can diminish, people can walk away

In the ugly hands of desolation he remains my song.

As morn follows hard on every dark night

So His hand of grace and compassion, hope and company

When my youthful heart screams "take this cup of suffering from me"

When I cannot keep watch with Him even for a moment

My Lord and saviour intercedes for me, me!

Lord let me be mad, mad about You; it's healthy for me

Let your restoration fall on me like dew

Your consuming love flow in my heart like a river

The expression of Your goodness translate my likeness to Yours

When I wake, when I sleep, quiet my heart with singing.

Where on earth can death be gain

Endured trials be rewarded generously

Where on earth can contentment be compounded with godliness

Sons and daughters learn obedience through suffering

It can only be in the domain of my peerless and precious Lord.

For only six days He wound up creation of all things

When He descended on low to show us the way

He ascended on high to prepare a mansion for us

What can make Him prepare this mansion for centuries on end

Except love , love for our comfort, joys and our praises!
