"Procrastinating Into Infinity"

The obstacles of modern man
Are chores and obligations,
And hoping that they go away
Is food for contemplation

But laziness and worthlessness
Make work the realm of sorrow,
And for those with better things to do
Thank God that there's tomorrow

But the real fact of the matter is
That we waste our lives away,
And when tomorrow finally comes,
The truth is it's today

Well, days turn into centuries;
The sun cools then expands
The rocks and soil burn away
And destroy the best laid plans

In time it shrinks to nothing,
And the white dwarf loses sway
There's not a hint of gravity,
And the planets drift away

But my soul lives on to stagnate
In last ditch procrastination
And still puts off my daily work
In a fit of hesitation

So if timeliness does beckon,
I've one final thing to say...
By the time tomorrow gets here
It's too late 'cause it's today
