Why must Christians take everything and turn it into Satanism? Dungeons and Dragons is fantasy. It's a game that allows players to bond with their friends. I have played Dungeons and Dragons for many years. I even allow my then son of age six to play. It helps broaden the imagination and uses quick thinking skills, mathematical skills and logical skills. If you think about it, there are monsters in everyday life. Does that make life Satanic?

Granted they are not Ogres and Rakshasas, but they are murderers, robbers and child molesters. Dungeons and Dragons also has demons in it...hmmm, doesn't the Bible have demons in it? Are we to believe that since the Bible has demons in there that that book could be Satanic? What about some of the symbols of Christianity, they were taken from Pagans and Druidism. These people that condemn Dungeons and Dragons probably sit at home and watch Lord of the Rings or Star Wars and allow their children to watch Disney movies and Harry Potter. Yet they see no fault in those movies.

Lord Vader is what Darth Vader is referred to quite often in the film. So, if Lord Vader is your favorite character, then you shall go to hell for putting another "God" in place of God. For those of them that watch Lord of the Rings, well that is what Dungeons and Dragons is made from. The creators were big fans of the books and turned their love of literature into a game. They also used some mythology to help with some monsters as well as allies.

For those of you who allow your children to watch Disney movies well, you are in for a big surprise. Don't you pay attention to the witchcraft and magic and mythological creatures in those shows? Most of the animated movies have villains, like Cruella DeVil...hello DeVil...Devil. Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty, her name means evil. The Evil Queen from Snow White uses magic and tries to kill her daughter. Do you ever stop and think about that? I could go into this in further detail, but the article is about Dungeons and Dragons. I for one do believe in God. I am a Christian. I also believe that people are free to do what they want. Playing Dungeons and Dragons does not mean that I am going to go to hell.

Dungeons and Dragons is what my family and I use to have fun together. We bond more when we play because the game lasts for hours. My son has a very vivid and active imagination because of Dungeons and Dragons. I think that people who think Dungeons and Dragons is Satanic are scared of what they do not know about. My mom condones me because I play and that I allow my child to play.

Then I sat down one on one with her and showed her what the game entails and how to play and even showed her how to create a character. She was very surprised and ended up enjoying and appreciating the art and work that the creators used for the the guidelines of the game. So, I for one am a big follower of Dungeons and Dragons and do not believe in any way shape or form that Dungeons is Satanic. It is a fun way to escape from reality while using creativity and imagination.
