Top Ten Quotes from My Top Ten Favorite Movies
So if you have read any of my movie reviews, you know by now that I love movies with great quotes. Not only do I use them in my reviews, I also use these quotes in my everyday language. It's not fun when you have to explain your quote, though, it's much more fun if the person you are talking to has seen the movie you are quoting and actually liked the movie. That's a bonus. Even more of a bonus is when they quote you back with the next line from the movie. Sound dorky? Well, then I guess I am. I decided to write my top ten greatest movie quotes of all time. Don't read any further if you don't want to start using them yourself. You will want to. You can't help it.
My Top Ten
1. "The worst day of my life, what do you think?" -Napoleon Dynamite from the movie Napoleon Dynamite
Why I love it
This is my number one favorite. Why? Well, it is a very universal phrase. Not only did it come straight from the funniest movie ever but it sounds funny. People ask you all the time "how are you" "how are you doing?" Just tell them, "It's the worst day of my life, what do you think?" (Don't worry, everyone has watched Napoleon Dynamite- or at least we hope so)
2. "I'm a little concerned right now. About... your salvation and stuff. How come you have not been baptized?" - Nacho from the movie Nacho LIbre
Why I love it
It's funny. Seriously funny. Do I need to say more?
3. "I don't know how to put this but I'm kind of a big deal." - Ron Burgundy from the movie Anchorman
Why I love it
OkK this so funny. I even bought a T-shirt for my husband with this quote on it. People kinda look at him strange, though, and I'm not sure why...
4. "There is no charge for awesomeness... or attractiveness." = Po from Kung Fu Panda
Why I love it
Seriously funny. This quote has endless possibilities...
5. "Who's your friend? Or is that your butt?" - Gloria from Madagascar
Why I love it
This actually is only funny when you really know the person and they kinda know your joking. It is still hilarious, though.
6. "I'm all jacked up on Mountain Dew!"- Texas Ranger from Talladega Nights
Why I love it
Endless possibilities with this one. It's too funny. At my house we say this all the time.
7. "Yeah, mind-bottling. You know, when things are so crazy it gets your thoughts all trapped, like in a bottle?"- Chazz Michael Michaels from Blades of Glory
Why I love it
Kinda reminds me of a lot of reviews on Ciao! Do I need to say more?
8. "Coffee is the lifeblood that fuels the dreams of champions." Mike Ditka from Kicking and Screaming
Why I love it
Okay, this really isn't funny, but it is soooooo true and it is from one of the funniest movies of all time! Coffee is the whole reason I post any reviews on here at all. Thank God for coffee! And Mike Ditka is pretty much awesome.
9."A vacation from my problems!" -Bob Wiley from What About Bob?
Why I love it
I love this quote because it is always the truth! I need a vacation from my problems. Seriously.
10. "I can teach you how to bottle fame, brew glory, even stopper death - if you aren't as big a bunch of dunderheads as I usually have to teach." - Severus Snape from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone.
Why I love it
This is not a funny quote, so it is different from the rest but you have to include a Harry Potter quote. Not only are they the best movies but Severus Snape is my all time favorite bad guy!
