Created on: June 17, 2009

Hilda Campbell packed her last suitcase; she was excited about her first Caribbean cruise. Hilda is looking forward to seven nights of drinking some tropical drinks, seafood dinners, and the enjoyment with three of her best friends, Yvonne Franklin, Evelyn Carey, and Nell Peterson. They have worked for the same company, Robinson Meat Packing Plant for five long years. The weather in their small town was terrible; it had been snowing for hours. Hilda watched the latest weather report while she sat the last suitcase near the door. Her husband had just walked in from shoveling snow off the driveway outside. "It is getting pretty bad out there, Honey, what is the weatherman predicting for tomorrow?" Hilda respond, "He is predicting by mid-morning it will begin to melt, the temperature is expected to be in the mid -fifties. It's good our flight is not leaving until three o'clock tomorrow afternoon."

Yvonne Franklin had just put her two daughters in bed; they were tired, they had fallen asleep while watching television in the den. Her husband Bobby had just made some fresh coffee and put three logs in the fireplace to keep the fire going. "I made some coffee; do you want a cup Yvonne?" She came out of their bedroom dressed in a long blue robe and said, "Yea, fixed me a cup". She sat down on the den sofa watching the fire burning as her husband walks in; he gives her the hot cup of coffee. He sat down besides her and whistles in her ear, "I really am going to miss you these next seven days", she put his hands in hers and said, "I will miss you too." They hugged one another, and kissed each other until the sound of the ranging of the telephone disturbs them, Yvonne got up from the sofa to answer the cordless phone. The voice on the other line was Nell; she wanted to borrow an extra bag from Yvonne.

Nell was always a procrastinator; she had just started to pack her suitcases. Yvonne told her she could borrow one of her bags she had stored in the basement. Yvonne did not understand why she did not call earlier, they were getting ready for bed, Nell had been shopping all day, and she was one of the most unorganized people Yvonne ever knew. Nell husband Fred had to come to the other side of town to pick up the bag. Nell said," Thank you Yvonne, Fred is on his way to pick it". Yvonne replied,"Nell, I can not believe you are having Fred come out in this bad weather". "Girl, Fred is a truck driver he knows how to drive in snow, he heading out an about an hour
