God's water in a dry land
As the sun set across the land. It reached down to kiss the sand.
There was no water to be found. My burning heart began to pound.
My soul was thirsty to survive. How long will the spirit stay alive?
My only hope was a prayer away. "My heart is parched, send rain today."
Heaven opened He began to say. "I heard when you knelt to pray.
You're so small in a big dry land. Come with Me and take my hand.
Mercy to you I have shone. I've not lost My power, I'm still on the throne.
Under My wings you shall abide. Until the heat does subside."
He held me close to His heart. Told me, "I've been there from the start."
Heaven's dew fell upon my breast. I was weary and needed rest.
Refreshed by His embrace. My heart was healed, and filled with grace.

I am the giver of life, bringer of death, the ingredient of primordial soup
From whence the first tadpole emerged
Half in
Water
Memories are like water
Elusive, crystal clear, and bitterly
Dark at times.
Some are delicate and,
Often slip through
