BIG BANG THEORY ROCKS!

So this is my review on Big Bang Theory. I wanted to write this review because it is my favorite show ever. My son and I have watched each episode so many times we may have many of them memorized by now. Read on to find out why you should consider making this your favorite show as well.

Plot

The show is centered on two guys, Leonard and Sheldon. Both have HUGE IQs and work as physicists. They are both geeks. Sheldon is the stereotypical geek while Leonard is the geek who tries to fit in the outside world.

Leonard still has no clue but at least he is trying.

Sheldon, on the other hand lives on a very strict schedule, has to have everything neat and tidy and is VERY sarcastic. (I love the sarcastic jokes!) Sheldon I would say is a bit Asperger's Syndrome, although it is never forthrightly suggested in the show. My own son has Asperger's and is JUST like Sheldon. Structure, routine and obsessiveness are all characteristics as well as poor social skills. He definitely has poor social skills.

Both guys live in an apartment together and also work together. Penny moves in across the hall from them. She is hot and Leonard definitely likes her. She is funny, friendly and just a cool girl. She doesn't appear to be quite as smart as the guys, but she is smart in "life skills." She is more street smart and a little more wild than the boys. It is interesting to see the chemistry between Leonard and Penny. Penny also develops a special friendship bond with Sheldon. It is very sweet.

Howard and Rajnesh are the guys' best friends. They are both very funny. Howard is the Jewish nerd and is the only one without a PhD. He loves the ladies. He is very social. Rajnesh is a very smart Indian man with a heavy accent. They also work with Leonard and Sheldon. Rajnesh has a PhD. He is afraid to talk to women, so he doesn't.

Opinion

Doesn't this sound like the most clever show so far? Well if it doesn't let me elaborate on why you should think it is. The actors' timing and abilities are outstanding. So I am a big fat nerd geek myself. I can relate to this show. But really they are making fun of themselves as geeks so I think anyone will think that is funny.

I love what they love. Proving that I am a total nerd, they love star wars, star trek, Halo 3 (yes!), Lord of the Rings, retro arcade games, paintball....the list goes on but I am sure you get the point. They hold Halo 3 tournaments and believe that Patrick Stewart was named the sexiest man alive. Good stuff. I love it. The funny part is, Penny from across the hall doesn't understand ANY of this. She is clueless when it comes to the things the guys are into. If fact, she usually doesn't even understand a word Sheldon is saying. I guess you could say she doesn't understand "geek." So, to sum it up, this show is hilarious!
